Diccionario de Colocaciones del Griego Antiguo

DiCoGra (dictionary of Ancient Greek collocations, or Diccionario de Colocaciones del Griego Antiguo in Spanish) is an online resource that sistematically provides and describes verb-noun collocations in Ancient Greek, such as πόλεμον ποιεῖσθαι 'to make war, to fight', δίκην διδόναι 'to suffer punishment', διαβολῇ χρᾶσθαι 'to accuse falsely', or εἰς ἀπορίαν πίπτειν 'to get in trouble, to fall into distress'. The data is drawn from an extensive corpus that spans from the Homeric poems (8th century BC) to Post-classical Greek (3rd century AD).

This dictionary offers a comprehensive morphological, syntactic, and combinatorial analysis of each collocation. Additionally, it provides examples extracted from the corpus, accompanied by translations into Spanish, and statistical and diachronic data. DiCoGra is designed as a valuable tool for Greek teachers and students, translators, and linguists specializing in Greek or general linguistics, seeking to enhance their understanding of Ancient Greek or collocations.

DiCoGra is the result of the research project Lexicon-Syntax Interface in Ancient Greek and Latin 2: Dictionary of Latin Collocations (DiCoLat) and Dictionary of Ancient Greek Collocations, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (PID2021-125076NB-C42), whose principal investigators are José Miguel Baños (Department of Classical Philology, UCM) and M. Dolores Jiménez López (Department of Philology, Communication and Documentation, UAH).

As a result of this and previous projects, the same team has developed DiCoLat (Diccionario de Colocaciones Latinas en la red). Both dictionaries share the same theoretical and methodological bases.
